What is the RMTF?

This festival is a chance for area treble singers and choirs to come together to sing as a large choir for one concert, to gain knowledge and performance experience while singing under an accomplished conductor, and to form bonds with other musicians in our state. If you would like more information, want to register your choir or singers, please contact us. Online registration will begin August 1, 2017.

our clinician & conductor

Danya Tiller is the Artistic Director of the Phoenix Girls Chorus and has conducted choirs of all age ranges and levels for more than 25 years. In 2016 she was presented in her conducting debut at Carnegie Hall with a 200 voice women's choir comprised from singers all across the country. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ms. Tiller has been choral clinician for many regional festivals and workshops around the country and has toured extensively worldwide and she is in her twelfth season singing with the Grammy Award-Winning Phoenix Chorale.Earning a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a minor in Vocal Performance and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Alabama, she is A.B.D. for the Doctoral Degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Oklahoma.   Read more

Who is invited to participate?

We will cap our festival choir at 75 singers, treble voices only, and we welcome anyone who wants to participate - individuals from churches, community choirs, or school choirs - all are welcome. Our age range for this choir is 4th - 9th grade. 

what is the cost and how do i register?

The cost for each singer is $50 and includes a music packet, festival swag, and dinner on the day of the festival. All festival participants are expected to eat a good breakfast and pack a lunch and water bottle for the day.
The cost for teachers/choir directors is $60, and includes music packet, festival swag, dinner, as well as a private breakfast workshop with Ms. Tiller the morning of the festival.
Registration will be online on this festival page, and opens Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Registration will be available for those registering individual singers as well as entire choirs.

when do i get the festival music?

All singers will have music packets available for pick up in Broomfield, CO on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. All singers will be expected to learn all notes for their part before arriving to the festival on October 21st, and part recordings will be available to those who need them beginning on September 11, 2017. 

what is the schedule on festival day?

Once registration closes on August 25th, all registrants will be sent a complete schedule for the day, but below is a rough sketch of the day's events.
Saturday, October 21, 2017
8:30 - singers and teachers/directors arrive at 1700 W. 10th Avenue, Broomfield, CO
9:00 am - singers go to warmup with resident conductors/directors
9:00 am - teachers/directors go to breakfast workshop with Ms. Tiller
9:30 am - singers break into sectionals/part work
10:45 am - Morning Break
11:00 am - All singers back together with Ms. Tiller; sing festival pieces together
12:00 pm - Lunch Break (all bring their own lunch)
1:00 pm - Sectionals and work together as needed throughout the afternoon
3:00 pm - Afternoon Break
3:30 pm - Organ demonstration of oldest pipe organ in Colorado
4:00 pm - Rehearsals and part work as needed
5:30 - Dinner break, rest
6:30 pm - Doors open for concert
7:00 pm - Festival concert at 1700 W. 10th Avenue, Broomfield, CO
